Child Advocates of Nevada County is a private, non-profit agency funded through a variety of sources with strong community support. The agency was founded in 1993 to provide Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) services to abused and neglected children who were dependents of the Juvenile Court. After the initial years of working with children who had been removed from abusive homes, the agency’s staff and Board of Directors recognized that work needed to be done to prevent families from ever reaching a point of crisis. The agency expanded by adding three programs that address this need: Foothills Healthy Babies, Child Safety Puppeteers and Welcome Baby.
Our Mission Provide advocacy, education, and prevention services to help our children can grow up free from abuse and neglect.
Our Vision All children in Nevada County grow up in a safe nuturing, and healthy environment.
