Mark your calendars for a night of dinner, dancing, auction, and fun! Child Advocates of Nevada County will be hosting a Fall Gala at the historic Miner’s Foundry in downtown Nevada City. Norm Sauer, chair of the event committee, is excited about the planning taking place. “This event is far different from anything that Child Advocates has ever hosted,” said Sauer. The evening will feature a chicken or tri-tip dinner, dancing to the music of Sols, as well as live and silent auctions with an exciting range of items up for bid! Christmas See’s Candy Fundraiser (Dates to be announced), in the JC Penney shopping center across from Dollar Tree. You know how good this candy is and we make it easy for you to satisfy those “sweet tooth” gifts you need to buy for Christmas. You don’t need to drive to Roseville. We set up a mobile store at Easter as well.

Fundraising is an essential part of our budget. While we receive grants from foundations and we contract with First 5, the county and the state to provide services to children and families, community donations and events make the difference.
