Frequently Asked Questions About One 2 One
Preguntas frecuentes sobre el programa CASA
One 2 One Mentors are trained CASA volunteers. Upon receipt of the online form located on this page an application will be sent. References, background checks and an interview are part of the application process. The training to become a CASA/One 2 One Mentor includes 30 hours of in-person instruction at our office in Nevada City, as well as one observation of the Dependency or Delinquency Court calendars.
With the aid of a staff member, the volunteer decides if they would like to serve a youth in Dependency Court, Delinquency Court or One 2 One. It is our mission to match volunteers with a youth and program that best fits their strengths and skill set. At the conclusion of a court case or One 2 One agreement, volunteers are free to serve youth through a different program at Child Advocates.
